Teyana Taylor gifted Lil Wayne a pair of her new collaboration with the Jordan Brand, the Air Jordan 1 Zoom CMFT 2 “A Rose From Harlem.” Wayne showed off the sneakers in a video posted on social media, this week.
“These bitches is beautiful,” Wayne said of the shoes while thanking Taylor and the Jordan Brand. “Also, you told me it was because of the roses that I gave you and thank you. You ain’t gotta give me nothing back. I can’t match this.”

Fans celebrated Wayne for showing his genuine appreciation for Taylor in the comments when The Neighborhood Talk shared the clip. “I just love his aura,” one fan wrote. “He never gives off pretentious celebrity vibes. He always strikes me as someone who is genuinely grateful for everything.” Another asked, “Dope!! Do you wear them or just keep them?? Cause I would leave em in that glass case!” One more user commented, “Wayne is always so grateful for any gifts he receives.”
The Air Jordan 1 Zoom CMFT 2 “A Rose From Harlem” features a white base with red overlays. The Nike swoosh on the side is oversized and stitched on with green horns protruding throughout. It takes its name from Taylor’s 2018 single, “Rose in Harlem.” The shoe is expected to retail for $150 and will release later this year. Check out Wayne’s version of the sneaker below.
Taylor’s gift for Lil Wayne comes days after she attended the 2023 Met Gala in New York City. At the star-studded event, she made headlines for bringing Chic-Fil-A to the venue. Pusha T teased her on social media, afterward, joking that he was embarrassed by her. “Teyana Taylor’s embarrassing me. She brought [Chick-fil-A] to the #MetGala. I want her away from me!…” he wrote in a post. Push added that Usher also tried to get Taylor to abandon the Chic-Fil-A to no avail.
