Steph Curry is one of the greatest players to ever step on the basketball court. Although he may not be as versatile as someone like LeBron James, there is no denying his talents. Curry made a name for himself by shooting three-pointers, and he has proven to be the best ever at doing so. Overall, he has the three-point record, and he still has plenty of years left in him. This is great news for Warriors fans, who are hopeful that the team can continue its dynasty.
Last night, Curry went up against another legend of the game. Of course, we are talking about Chris Paul of the Phoenix Suns. The Suns and the Warriors are two teams that are expected to do well in the postseason. Consequently, fans were looking forward to this matchup. Ultimately, it was the Golden State Warriors who came out victorious here. Moreover, Curry and Paul went at it which led to some amazing trash talk. Although Paul isn’t the same player he was nearly a decade ago, he is still a very solid facilitator out on the floor. However, last night, Curry certainly got the better of CP3. Curry finished the game with 23 points, while Paul finished with 11. Furthermore, Curry’s teammate Klay Thompson ended the match with 38 points, 33 of which came in the first half. Luckily for the Warriors, Kevin Durant is injured. Had KD been available, you would have to think the game would have gone much differently.
The Suns and Warriors are two teams who could very well be on a collision course in the postseason. Depending on how the seedings pair up, these teams could face each other in the first round. However, they could even face each other in the Western Conference Finals. This would be a phenomenal matchup that NBA fans are certainly rooting for.
