Finally!
After five long years, Masego is officially back with the release of his sophomore album, Masego.
“I’m very thankful of the journey. This went from a hobby to a job,” says Masego. “I was getting all the things that they say that you’re supposed to be fulfilled by and I wasn’t fulfilled by it. I had to do a re-evaluation of a lot of things. I said, ‘I can’t make this what I imagined it to be. So I cannot remain here. I need to move.’”
The long-awaited follow-up to 2018’s Lady Lady, Uncle Sego’s self-titled release is backed by three singles: “Two Sides (I’m So Gemini),” “You Never Visit Me” and “Say You Want Me.” There’s also no featured artists, as Masego went in dolo while working with producers and musicians (which he refers to as “outliers, the savants”) like Louis Lastic, Kelvin Wootan, Richie Souf, Monte Booker, WaveIQ, and Rocaine.
Press play and be sure to add Masego wherever you get music.
